Balls, Cotillions & Debutantes

Just imagine! When you make your grand entrance, it will be one of the most memorable moments of your life.

The Gown Gallery has a long-standing tradition of dressing debutantes for many of Kansas City’s most prestigious events, including: 

• Alpha Kappa Alpha Ball
• BOTAR (Belles Of The American Royal)
• Delta Sigma Theta Cotillion Ball
• Jewel Ball

For the first three, a committee selects the gown all the debs will wear. 

If you will make your debut at the Jewel Ball, you may select your own gown. Favorites include gowns by Maggie Sottero or by Paula Varsalona. A native of this area, Ms. Varsalona is now a world-famous New York-based designer whose gowns are exclusively available in Kansas City at The Gown Gallery.

 

Accessories

Accessories put the finishing touches on your look. Popular choices include:

• Jewelry – simple pearl necklace and matching earrings.
• Gloves – jewel length or satin-look opera length.
• Shoes – closed-toe pumps offering both comfort and style.

 

Timeline

9-12 months before –

• Start the process of ordering your dress.

• Purchase jewelry, gloves and shoes.
